Waikato Vintage Tractor & Machinery Club Our Club gets its name from the Waikato Region in the North Island of New Zealand and is based around the rural town of Cambridge (population approx 13,500) which is situated about 160kms south of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city.The Waikato Region is renowned for its fertile soils and its high producing  well developed farms.  The climate is moderate with a reasonably evenly spread annual rainfall of 1000 - 1200 mm.  The Waikato also accesses a number of world renowned natural features and sporting activities such as caves, thermal areas, fresh and salt water fishing, gliding, tramping, hunting, surfing and many more.  A wide range of accommodation is available and, by world standards, costs are very reasonable.
