NEWS November 20: Winter is here! The ice climbing is comnig in well with excellent conditions reported for Nemesis and some of the other climbs at the Stanley Headwall and with overnight temps well below -15C right now conditions are shaping up well. Same goes for the skiing, with a snowpack of about 130cm (over 4 feet) at tree line at Rogers Pass. Also, please note that we have posted all our summer dates for 2009! September 30: Another great summer both in Europe and in Canada for everyone! We have now posted all of our winter dates for avalanche courses, ice climbing and ski touring - It's that time of year again to start thinking about winter! And, if you are really an advance planner, we have now posted our summer dates for 2009! Continue to check our website for new trips! June 28: Finally summer - both in the Alps and in the Canadian Rockies. warm temperatures and sunshine are badly needed to bring the mountains in summer climbing conditions as there is lots of residual snow left in the Alpine from a rather wintery spring this year. Our summer trips are booking up even though it seems that our clients are booking on shorter notice than in the past, especially for the Europe trips. We are taking a bit of a hit on our margins with the low US$ but we still believe we are delivering excellent value on both our scheduled and customized trips! April 27: I've just returned from 4 weeks of ski touring in the Alps to a snowy welcome here at home in Canmore. At least the sun is out but the peaks around us are still caked in white. December 17: Excellent w inter here in the Canadian Rockies so far: Just about all popular ice climbs are in good shape and the skiing is also shaping up real well with snow levels reaching 250cm at tree line in the Columbia ranges.
